Absolutely yes; we arrange to visit at a time convenient for you to discuss your project. During the visit we develop an understanding of what you would like to achieve together with your preferences, such as materials and finishes.  With this information we compile a quotation that details the project timeline, prices and any options, if applicable.  This is submitted to you for consideration after which we would be pleased to discuss all aspects of the quote.

CKM serves customers throughout Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.  Customers in Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and the north London boroughs have also benefitted from our services.  Please get in touch if you are in any doubt about whether, geographically, we can work together.

Most definitely, we hold Construction All Risks insurance; Public Liability insurance of £2,000,000; and Employer's Liability Insurance.  If a project requires additional cover, or more specialised insurance, it can be arranged.

CKM is used to dealing with local authorities and the planning process and can advise on all its aspects.  This includes determining whether permission is required and, if it is, production of architect's drawings, dealing with conservation area and listed building requirements, compiling all required information and submitting the planning application.

Some customers find the answer to this too late.  It is most commonly caused by unregistered, fly-by-night businesses, sometimes using illegal labour too.  When problems with their work are discovered in the weeks, or months following completion, the customer may find they can no longer contact the business.  Instead, they have to endure the cost of paying for the faults to be rectified.  Some businesses don't even complete their work and flee with the customer's money.
